Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood writer and actor whose talent has earned her recognition as well as critical praise. Sagittarius is her birth name, and she was born at the state of North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's among the three children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a parachutist. She has English and Scottish ancestry. Moore was often in and out of her family due to the work for her father. It was difficult to keep or meet new acquaintances. Moore began acting in plays at Frankfurt American High School when the family moved to Germany. When she completed the requirements for her B.F.A. at Boston University in 1983, Moore continued her education. She graduated in 1983 with a B.F.A. Moore started her theater career off-Broadway in New York, after she completed her degree. In the episode The Edge of Night in 1985, she made her debut appearance on screen. She took on the dual roles of Frannie as well as Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns. This was the show that became her break. She starred on the show as the World Turns through 1988. In recognition of her performance she won the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she debuted in cinema through Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and both were made by Robert Altman. Her performance in the critically-acclaimed short-cuts (1993) brought her a number of nominations. Moore received her first film role as a lead on the screen in Safe (1996). Steven Spielberg chose Moore to be the main character for Jurassic Park: The Lost World. It was among the most popular movies released in the year. She was awarded a SAG award nomination for Magnolia in 1999. The Hours, a 2002 film that she co-starred in alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep received nominations for nine Academy Awards. Moore was also in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. In 2014, she was in Non-Stop. Moore has been featured in many films and TV shows. The most recent of her starring roles is In 2022, After You Finish Securing the World. As a Hollywood actress and children's writer her career is well-established. The first book she published was Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and became an N.Y.T. bestseller. The book was later adapted into the basis for a musical and TV series. The book she wrote in 2013 titled My Mom is a Foreigner also became a top-selling. A well-respected actor and writer, Moore's private life is public domain. She married John Robin in 1984 and they split in 1995. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two children. Moore's main focus is her friends, family and her work.
